If you combine five years of experience in software development and a BS in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology with an insane drive to solve problems through code and an obsessive compulsive attention to structure, order and detail then you get an individual whose work goes beyond satisfying requirements and meeting milestones.
My attention to both detail and overall design leads me to establish well thought out frameworks that allow for expansion, account for potential problems, and autonomously develop features that increase efficiency or enrich the user experience.
Apart from utilizing the prototype javascript framework and a few script.aculo.us effects, I have developed all of this site's components and interfaces with the various external social media applications.
Web application development and complex scripted environments are my current focuses but I possess the fundamental knowledge necessary to shift between languages and fields with an ability to rapidly learn new syntax, structure, and concepts. I am always open to the prospect of taking on a project and have a constant drive to enhance and expand my skill set.
In addition to programming I am an avid amateur photographer, musician, and writer. I welcome all offers for work, collaboration, or the licensing/utilization of my output from people not only in Northeast Florida region where I currently reside but the whole world beyond.
Programming is a discipline that can combine both the logical and reasoned approach of problem solving with creativity and artistic expression. The pride earned from creating a program that accomplishes a task or solves a problem is multiplied by the appreciation of the intelligent structure and framework established in the process. Code can be art from which utility and logic can be derived. Like an elegant mathematical equation put into action, we engineer the movement of binary data and translate it into something meaningful.
I put a great deal of emphasis on abstraction, organization, and efficiency in my approach to problem solving via programming and scripting. Establishing a solid framework is a far more worthwhile investment than trying to attack a target using brute force methods. When creating an application I always allow for the prospect of unobstructed expansion and easy configuration/maintenance so that changes and additions are both painless and seamless.
My current specialities revolve around the field of web application programming using PHP, Javascript, HTML/XHTML/XML, CSS, and SQL. I am also proficient in C and Java and am gearing up to dive into the world of Objective C and making applications for the iPhone. But languages are essentially immaterial as I possess the fundamental knowledge to shift between environments and rapidly learn new syntax/structure.

Since acquiring my first digital camera I have been consumed with a passion for capturing visual records of the fascinating marvels of existence I encounter throughout the passage of my life.
My "specialities" are insects, spiders, death, decay, landscapes, textures, the ethereal, and the surreal but I am interested in applying my strange aesthetic and experimental ideals to the photography of any and all subjects.
I am open to both free and paid gigs and would be more than happy to license my images to interested parties with any potential monetary compensation being based on usage. A constant struggle of the mind to utilize sets of agreed upon symbols and sounds to communicate abstract thoughts involving concrete objects percieved through sensory organs and translated into data by the brain. The task of deliberate communication is even more grueling and uncomfortable to exercise as the preceeding sentence is to read. Effective verbal communication depends upon choosing the proper words to convey not only the intended ideas and information but those which will guide the unavoidable and uncontrollable emotional responses. This is an arduous task to say the least.
Language is not to be taken lightly.
But here I am, making a mockery of that very ideal:
